23 Motorists Convicted as Delta Traffic Enforcement Nets 26 Vehicles
Those convicted were fined while three were discharged, as the police commissioner warned that enforcement will continue statewide.

Twenty-three motorists have been convicted by a Mobile Court in Delta State after being arraigned for various traffic offences during an ongoing enforcement exercise by the Delta State Police Command.
The offenders were among 26 vehicle owners arrested across the state for alleged violations of traffic regulations. The cases were brought before a Mobile Court established by the Delta State Government for speedy hearing and determination of traffic-related offences.
Court proceedings ended with 23 of the defendants found guilty and fined according to the nature of the offences committed, while three others were discharged and acquitted.
The traffic enforcement exercise forms part of efforts to improve compliance with road traffic laws and address offences considered to pose risks to motorists, pedestrians and other road users.
Speaking on the exercise, Delta State Commissioner of Police, Yemi Oyeniyi, said enforcement operations would continue across the state, warning that motorists who violate traffic regulations could face legal consequences.
He also advised vehicle owners to ensure their vehicles are properly registered, carry valid documentation and comply with traffic laws to avoid sanctions.
The latest convictions highlight the ongoing campaign by law enforcement authorities to improve road safety and encourage adherence to traffic regulations across Delta State.
