We tell the stories
that matter.
And we tell yours.
Full-service media coverage, production and communications, delivered by the newsroom that reports Nigeria and Africa every day.
The newsroom that covers Nigeria and Africa every day, working with you.
WSentinel has spent years documenting the people, institutions and stories of Nigeria and the wider continent. That same craft, that same access, and that same attention to what a story really needs is now available for your organisation, event or brand.
From a single day's photo coverage to a fully-produced international assignment, we bring the discipline of a working newsroom to every project we take on.
Seven disciplines, one newsroom
Livestreaming
Live broadcast to YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, so the occasion reaches the audience that could not be in the room.

Public relations

Media consultancy
Advice on positioning, message and press strategy for organisations working across West Africa.
Event management
Planning and running the occasion itself, not only the cameras pointed at it.
Entertainment and creative
Visual storytelling, production and creative services for entertainment and lifestyle brands.
Digital innovation
An internet broadcast outlet built for African audiences, on the platforms they already use.

How we work
Brief
Tell us the assignment. Event, principal, location, dates, deliverables.
Plan
We scope the crew, kit and logistics, and agree a clear schedule and cost.
Capture
Our team covers the assignment with broadcast-grade equipment and discretion.
Deliver
Edited photo and video, ready for publishing, broadcast or your archive.
Before you send the brief
The five things people ask before commissioning us. If yours is not here, put it in the brief.
Every brief gets a written reply within one working day.
Start a projectWhat do we actually receive, and how soon?
A gallery of edited, colour-graded photographs, and a finished edit where video is commissioned. A single day of coverage typically returns 40 to 80 selected frames.
A first set of press-ready images reaches you within 24 hours, so you have something to publish while it is still news. The full gallery follows within five working days and video within ten. Everything arrives as high-resolution files you download and keep, with a set already sized for social.
What does it cost?
Every assignment is quoted on its own brief, because a half day in Warri and three days in Kumasi are not the same job. Crew size, travel, how many deliverables and how fast you need them all move the number.
Send the dates, the location and what you need delivered and you will have a written quote within one working day. If the budget and the brief do not meet, we will say so then rather than after a call.
Do you travel, and who pays for it?
Yes. The work on this page was shot in eight Nigerian cities and four other African countries, and we travel with the principals and institutions we cover as a matter of course.
Travel, accommodation and any accreditation or permits are quoted as their own line on the brief rather than folded into a day rate, so you can see what the journey costs before you approve it.
Who owns the photographs and the footage?
Commissioned work is licensed to you in writing on delivery, for the uses agreed in the brief. Full assignment of copyright is available and is priced separately.
We ask to keep the right to show a selection in our own portfolio. Where an assignment is private or sensitive we will agree in writing not to, and nothing from it appears anywhere.
How far ahead should we book?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for a single day in Nigeria. Four to six is better for anything needing travel, accreditation, or a crew larger than two.
Short notice is worth asking about anyway, including the same week. If a team is free we will take it, and if not we will tell you straight away rather than leave you waiting.
Bring us the assignment.
Whether it's a single day's coverage or a multi-city production, we'd love to hear about your project. Send the details and we'll get back within one working day.
