Aisha Buhari Pays Atiku a Visit — Why?
Former First Lady Aisha Buhari has paid a visit to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in Abuja, with details of their meeting yet to be made public.
Atiku shared news of the visit on his official X handle on Wednesday, describing the encounter with the former First Lady as “warm and deeply appreciated.”
Although he did not disclose the reason for the visit or the issues discussed, Atiku used the occasion to reflect on the economic difficulties confronting many Nigerian households.
He said families are struggling with the rising costs of food, transportation, education, healthcare and other basic necessities.
The former Vice President added that efforts to build a better Nigeria must place the welfare, dignity and future of citizens at the forefront.
He called for measures to reduce the burden on Nigerians and restore economic opportunities, concluding with his call to “Make Nigeria Affordable Again.”
