Akpabio Debunks Health Rumors, Returns from London Vacation
He arrived in Abuja on Monday, calling the hospitalisation reports imaginary and promising vigorous legislative work when the Senate resumes.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio has returned to Nigeria after a brief vacation in London, dispelling social media rumours about his ill health and hospitalisation. Arriving in Abuja early Monday, Akpabio dismissed the reports as “imaginary” and assured Nigerians of his fitness.
Akpabio recently attended the World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva, where he advocated for stronger democratic governance. He promised robust legislative activity when the Senate reconvenes.
His return comes at a critical time as the National Assembly faces calls for transparency, legislative reform, and stronger oversight amidst growing public scrutiny.
