Colby Nigeria Limited has assured of the timely delivery of the ongoing 33KV overhead line and electricity distribution project connecting Ode-Itsekiri and other communities in Delta State.

The project involves the extension of a 33KV overhead line from NPA’s 15MVA Refinery II Feeder to Orugbo, Ode-Itsekiri, Ajigba, Inorin, Usele and Ugbodede, as well as the construction of Town Distribution Networks and installation of six 500KVA transformers.

The assurance was given during an inspection of the project by the Delta State Commissioner for Energy, Engr. Micheal Ifeanyi Anoka, FNSE, Ph.D. Colby Nigeria’s site engineer, Engr. Omabuwa Eric Mayuku, alongside Engr. Umunna Chike Odogwu of Elektrint Nigeria Limited, took the Commissioner and his team around the project site.

Anoka expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, while urging the contractors to maintain the required standards and avoid substandard or “shoddy” work.

Upon completion, the project is expected to strengthen electricity distribution and improve power supply to the benefiting communities.
