The death of Hon. Felix Ese Idisi, Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ethiope East, has triggered reactions from top party leaders who say the attack poses a serious threat to political stability in Delta State. Idisi was gunned down on November 15 by unidentified assailants, an incident that has intensified calls for accountability.

Senator Ede Dafinone representing Delta Central condemned the attack, calling it a heartbreaking development that undermines peace in Delta Central. He lauded Idisi’s contributions as a loyal party organiser and insisted that security agencies must pursue a transparent and credible probe. According to him, Delta residents need to see justice delivered clearly and quickly.

Similarly, former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege also reacted to the killing, warning that the murder signals a dangerous slide toward unchecked violence. He said the killing was a blow to democratic values and demanded immediate action from the Delta State Police Command and the Inspector General of Police. Omo-Agege also raised concerns that certain individuals had previously boasted about eliminating rivals, saying such claims must be investigated without hesitation.

Both senators urged party supporters to remain calm and avoid retaliatory actions, stressing that further violence would only deepen the tragedy. They encouraged residents to assist investigators with useful information and extended condolences to Idisi’s family, the APC in Delta State, and the people of Ethiope East.
