Delta North Security Boost as Police Receive Surveillance Equipment to Strengthen Anti-Kidnapping Operations
Aniocha South chairman Jude Chukwunwike donated the gear as CSP Akanya Agboga takes charge of the Ubulu-Uku unit.

Efforts to tackle kidnapping and other violent crimes in Delta North have received a major boost following the donation of operational and surveillance equipment to the Ubulu-Uku Tactical Anti-Kidnapping Unit by the Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike.

The security support comes as the Delta State Police Command intensifies its campaign against kidnapping across the senatorial district with the recent deployment of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Akanya Agboga to head the Ubulu-Uku Tactical Anti-Kidnapping Unit.
CSP Agboga has been mandated to lead renewed operations aimed at curbing kidnapping and other security threats across Delta North. Assisting him is the unit’s Second-in-Command, DSP Ojulari Oluwadara, as part of efforts to strengthen intelligence gathering and rapid response operations.
The newly provided operational and surveillance equipment is expected to improve the unit’s capacity to monitor criminal activities, respond swiftly to security incidents and enhance ongoing anti-kidnapping operations across Ubulu-Uku and neighbouring communities.
The reinforcement of the tactical unit, through the deployment of experienced police officers and the provision of modern security equipment, is seen as part of broader efforts to improve safety and reassure residents across the district.
The latest intervention reflects growing collaboration between the Delta State Police Command and local authorities to strengthen security, curb kidnapping and create a safer environment for residents, businesses and travellers throughout Delta North.
