Edo Police Arrest Prophet Over Alleged Abduction of Five Girls
Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested a 50-year-old self-acclaimed prophet, Nicholas Nusa, over the alleged abduction of five female children in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of the state.
Nusa, who is the overseer and prophet of Divine Grace Church located along Imoga Road, Ibillo, was allegedly linked to the abduction of the children from the Ibillo and Imoga communities.
The command’s spokesperson, ASP Eno Ikoedem, disclosed the arrest on Monday, September 21, 2026, in Benin City.
According to the police, Nusa was also accused of impregnating one of the alleged victims, a 15-year-old girl. The teenager subsequently underwent a cesarean section and has been placed under the medical care and protection of the Braveheart Organization, an advocacy group.
The police said investigations into the allegations are ongoing.
