Founder of the NGO, Prince Efetobore Obigba, made the pledge on Monday during its official launch in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area.

He said the recent flooding in Uvwie, Warri, Agbarho, Udu and other parts of the state underscored the need to strengthen community resilience, improve environmental sanitation and promote responsible waste disposal.

Obigba urged residents and government agencies to work together to address drainage challenges and prevent environmental practices that worsen flooding.

A community leader, Hon. Ejiro Eghrudje, said the floods submerged homes, shops, schools and roads in parts of Uvwie, leaving families displaced and businesses counting their losses.

He urged stakeholders and the business community to support the foundation’s efforts to help vulnerable people recover from hardship.

Also speaking, Olorogun Steven Edjoyovwe, who unveiled the foundation’s logo, called on residents to change habits that contribute to flooding.

Other dignitaries at the event included the foundation’s co-founder, Rejoice Obigba; its consultant, Kelly Akpomughe; and the chairman of the occasion, Dr. Ojefe E. Ambassador, alongside community leaders and other stakeholders.
