Eight inmates have regained their freedom from the Ogwashi-Uku Custodial Centre in Delta State following the settlement of their bail conditions by the Chief Victor Uwajeh Foundation.

The release was facilitated as part of the foundation’s humanitarian intervention, marking what was identified as its takeoff initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable individuals within the justice system.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Alex Odi-Okoh expressed appreciation to the foundation for the timely support, noting that the intervention offered the freed inmates a fresh opportunity to reintegrate into society.

Addressing the inmates after their release, Odi-Okoh urged them to avoid violence, uphold positive values and channel their efforts toward rebuilding their lives and contributing meaningfully to their communities.
