Indigenous Ebenco Refinery Gets Approval to Introduce Hydrocarbons
Indigenous energy company, Ebenco Global Link Limited, has secured regulatory approval to introduce hydrocarbons into its refinery in Koko, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, bringing the facility closer to commissioning.

In a statement on its Facebook page, the company said the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) granted the authorisation after the refinery passed a Pre-Start-Up Safety Audit (PSSA).
The refinery, which Ebenco describes as Nigeria’s first fully locally fabricated refinery, has a proposed capacity of 30,000 barrels per day and is designed to boost domestic refining through indigenous technology and local fabrication.
The approval allows the facility to proceed with hydrocarbon introduction, commissioning and performance testing under regulatory monitoring.
The refinery forms part of Ebenco’s integrated energy platform, which also covers petroleum products, marine logistics, industrial gas and oil-waste management.
The company said it would provide further updates as the facility progresses through commissioning.
