Keyamo Accuses NDC of Wreaking Havoc in Effurun, Vows Petition to IGP

In a statement posted on X, Keyamo claimed the attackers destroyed billboards belonging to Tompolo's Door-to-Door Campaign Organisation, looted shops, and carried dangerous weapons during the incident.

He further alleged that some law enforcement agents accompanied the attackers and accused sections of the media and human rights groups of remaining silent over the incident while reacting differently to similar events involving other political parties.

Keyamo said he had warned residents against taking the law into their own hands and announced plans to submit a petition to the Inspector-General of Police this week, calling for a thorough investigation into the incident.

He added that anyone found culpable, regardless of political affiliation, should be prosecuted, and that disciplinary action should be taken against any security personnel who allegedly condoned the destruction and looting.
