School Resumption Postponed In Parts of Delta
Pupils in Oshimili South will return on September 23 because Asaba hosts the National Youth Games until September 19.
Schools in Delta are set to commence the first term of the 2024/2025 academic session on Monday, September 9, 2024 but schools in Oshimili South LGA will not resume until a later date, Warri Sentinel understands.
According to a statement released by Augustine Oghoro, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, the delayed resumption in the LGA is due to the 8th edition of the National Youth Games, scheduled to begin in Asaba between September 9 and 19, 2024.
However, schools in Asaba and other parts of the affected Local Government Area will resume on Monday, September 23, 2024.
