Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, has declared his father the greatest president in Nigeria’s history, drawing attention to his leadership and policies during a recent address to youths in Adamawa State.

In a video that quickly went viral, Seyi praised President Tinubu’s efforts to prioritize youth empowerment and economic growth, underscoring his belief that the current administration has had a transformative impact on Nigeria.

“It was never politics, but they keep coming for me, they keep coming for my family, they keep coming for your father, they keep coming for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the greatest president in the history of Nigeria,” Seyi said, responding to critics who have targeted his family.

He continued, emphasizing his father’s legacy: “He is the only president that has kept your people at home, from when he was governor to when he became president. The only president that considers youths, the only president that created a platform for young people to fly. The only president that created an economy that has benefitted everybody, the only president that is not trying to enrich his own pocket.”

Seyi’s comments not only reflected his unwavering support for his father but also emphasized a growing focus on youth engagement under President Tinubu’s administration. Seyi has been increasingly active in distributing food items in northern states and participating in community initiatives. In March, he joined residents of Kano, including Hashimu Dugurawa, the state chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, for a Ramadan iftar.

In addition to his charitable efforts, Seyi has made several visits to Yobe State, engaging with local youths as part of his ongoing outreach. His active involvement in these activities suggests a deepening connection to Nigeria’s young population, which his father has made a central focus of his presidency.

While Seyi has largely focused on youth empowerment and public service, speculation is growing regarding his political aspirations. Some analysts have pointed to his growing visibility and involvement in national affairs as signs of a potential political career with one group advocating for his candidacy for the Lagos State governorship.
