He made the appeal on Monday during a meeting with members of Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A), a northern-based group advocating Tinubu’s re-election, who visited him on a courtesy call.

Shettima challenged leaders in the North to put aside divisions and build a united front focused on the region’s development and the welfare of its people.

He maintained that the administration’s plans for a second term offered an opportunity to pursue greater prosperity and stability in the region.

The Vice President’s remarks come as political groups begin organising support ahead of the 2027 presidential contest.
