Customs Hits N4.3tr Revenue, Confirms DCG, Five ACGs
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) generated N4.30 trillion in revenue between January and June 2026, representing 36.4 per cent of its N11.074 trillion annual target.
The figure was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the National Public Relations Officer of the NCS, Deputy Comptroller Abdullahi Maiwada, on the outcome of the 65th Regular Meeting of the Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB).
The meeting, chaired by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Prof. Taiwo Oyedele, noted that the Service had intensified revenue mobilisation through the full deployment of the B’Odogwu Unified Customs Management System, expanded audits, geospatial technology, joint border patrols and stronger engagement with the trading community.
The Board also confirmed Constantine Dim as Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs (South-East) and five Assistant Comptroller-Generals: Pascal Chibuoke (South-East), Sani Yahaya (North-Central), Franklin Onyeka (South-South), Chibuzor Eyakwaire (South-South) and Ethelbert Nnaji (South-East).
It further approved the upgrade of the NCS Medical Corps to a sub-department headed by an Assistant Comptroller-General and the Nigeria Customs Service De-Minimis Regulation, 2025.
The Board also reviewed disciplinary appeals, with outcomes including dismissal, exoneration, warning, compulsory retirement and reinstatement.
According to the statement, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to “accountability, institutional strengthening, and sustained revenue mobilisation.”
