The governor joined Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, to commission the ultra-modern facility, made possible through the philanthropic efforts of Chief Dr. Lee Ikpea.

The centre will function as an annex of Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, bringing healthcare services closer to Ewatto residents and neighbouring communities.

Okpebholo commended Ikpea for investing in the wellbeing of his people, describing the contribution as an example of how private support can complement government efforts to improve public services.

He also urged residents and healthcare professionals to protect and maintain the facility, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in sustaining healthcare infrastructure.

The governor reiterated his administration’s resolve to strengthen healthcare delivery across Edo State as part of its SHINE Agenda.
