Court Orders El-Rufai to Open Defence in Alleged NSA Phone Tapping Trial
The Federal High Court in Abuja has directed former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to present his defence in his ongoing trial over the alleged unlawful interception of telephone communications belonging to National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

Justice Joyce Abdulmalik gave the directive after rejecting El-Rufai’s no-case submission, ruling that the prosecution had presented sufficient evidence to require him to respond to the allegations.
The court adjourned the case until November 25 for the defence to begin its presentation, should El-Rufai choose to do so.
