Nigeria Now Ebola-Free After Patient’s Evacuation to Switzerland — WHO
The World Health Organization’s Regional Director for Africa, Mohamed Yakub Janabi, has confirmed that Nigeria currently has no Ebola cases following the medical evacuation of the index patient and her husband to Switzerland.

Janabi said the patient is clinically stable after Nigerian health workers successfully managed her through the acute phase of the illness.
He commended the Nigerian government, health workers and emergency responders for their efforts, while noting that 52 contacts remain under close follow-up in Nigeria. Switzerland will handle the continued care of the patient and monitor her husband, identified as contact number 53.
