Okowa Urges APC Unity, Wider Inclusion as Ekwueme Political Movement Launches
Former Delta State Governor and Delta North senatorial hopeful, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to put aside internal differences, embrace wider inclusion and work collectively to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

Okowa made the appeal at the launch of the Ekwueme Political Movement, where he commended its founder, Evangelist Moses Kamaya, and 78 former APC ward chairmen for bringing party members together.
He urged the movement’s members and other support groups to operate within the party’s established structure, deepen engagement with communities and sustain grassroots mobilisation as political activities gather momentum ahead of the next general elections.
The former governor also pledged to provide accessible and effective representation for Delta North, promising to work with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme and other elected representatives to attract development projects and address the needs of constituents.
Okowa’s call for unity comes as political parties and aspirants begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 polls, with grassroots support and internal cohesion expected to play important roles in the contests.
He stressed the importance of cooperation among party members, presenting inclusion and collective effort as essential to building a stronger APC and improving its electoral prospects.
